swipe from the top or bottom of the screen.

Access and sort your apps in just a few clicks or taps. • To access a list of all apps on your device, near the bottom of

the Start screen, click the down arrow. Or, swipe up on the Start screen.

• In Apps view you can sort apps by name, date installed, most used, or category.

Find the info, places, and settings you need.• Open the charms from wherever you are:• Swipe in from the right edge of your screen.• With the mouse pointer, point to the upper-right corner of the

screen, and then move down along the edge.

• Use the charms to find info with Bing Smart Search, to share your work, and to personalize your settings.

Start a Bing Smart Search to find info fast.• Begin a search in one of two ways:• On the Start screen, simply start typing. Select one of the suggestions from

your results list, or finish typing the term and then press ENTER.• Open the Search charm. In the search box, enter a search term. Choose

one of the suggestions from the results list.

• Bing Smart Search delivers results from the both the web and your device—all in a beautiful app-like experience.

Instantly find an app by using one of three methods.• On the Start screen, start typing the name of

the app that you want to open. • On the Start screen, open Apps view to display

all of your apps. You can filter the view or search for the app here if necessary.

• If you know that the app you want is pinned to the Start screen, scroll to the left or right of the screen to look for the app.

Share articles, websites, and screen shots through email or social networks.• From the open app, open the charms and

tap or click Share. • Choose to share via email or social networks,

or bookmark to read for later.

Print from any open app.• From any app (such as Word), open the Devices charm to

select a printer.• Click Print to print the document

directly from the app.

Connect your device to a projector for easy viewing.• Choose how to display your view on a

second device or screen: duplicate or extend it, or display it only on the second screen.

You can configure Windows to display the desktop as soon as you sign in.• On the desktop, right-click or press and hold the taskbar.• Select Properties.• Open the Navigation tab.• In the Start screen section, you can

choose to display your desktop whenever you sign in or close all apps.
