DESCRIPTION

WhoDat was born from an appreciation of how people’s need to consume digital information has changed. We push the boundaries of visual interaction.Using emerging technologies, we add a whole new dimension to product visualization. We primarily work on Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Gesture based apps.

AR can be used anywhere from Sales to Marketing of a product or brand.

Create memorable experiences

Connect with customers

Improve brand awareness

Increase sales

Page 3: Whodat - Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Gesture based Interaction

We could use AR to showcase

upcoming events and even media

related material.

For example, movie posters that are

stuck on walls could be scanned to

show the trailer of the movie. This

can show relevant information while

keeping the wow factor alive.

Lets look at a few examples of how AR can be used in different industries.

EXAMPLE: ENTERTAINMENT

Page 4: Whodat - Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Gesture based Interaction

AR is a great way to visualize retail products in

their intended environment and in true scale.

Products like furniture can be viewed by your

customers from anywhere and at any time.

They get to interact with the product, see it

from any angle and virtually try it out in their

homes before they even buy it.

This gives a consumer a much

better idea of what to buy and

promotes brand loyalty.

EXAMPLE: RETAIL

AR can be a great tool to show potential

customers how your new upcoming flagship

property will look, in a medium more interactive

than traditional video walkthroughs.

Let’s say that you have launched a newspaper

ad marketing your property. We could create a

mobile app specific to that ad campaign. When

the customer downloads and uses the app,

they will be able to scan the newspaper ad and

view a 3d version of the property. We can also

provide them with options to see the model

apartments and interact with it or customize it.

Face Tracking

Video Demo link :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xn-7CtTBaUc

Face tracking is a computer technology that

detects human faces.

Our proprietary Face Tracking technology

provides a new way for users to visualize

products. It can be used to showcase how

products like eyewear, jewellery and other

accessories would appear in relation to a

user’s face. This makes it possible for people

and brands from all over the world to connect

through interactive visual experiences.

Oculus based Experience

The Oculus Rift is a virtual reality headset that

lets users step into virtual environments.

This headset completely covers the user’s eyes

and blocks out any view of his surroundings.

The user will be able to see only what is

shown through this headset. The user has

a complete 360 degree view of this virtual

environment that creates an immersive

experience.

The Rift uses custom tracking technology to

track movement of the head, allowing the

user to look around the virtual world just as

one would in real life.

Leap Motion

Example video :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_d6KuiuteIA

Leap Motion is a sensor device that uses hand

tracking technology.

With Leap Motion, a user can interact with their

computer by just using hand gestures. No hand

contact is required. It provides interaction with

just natural hand movements.

The Leap Motion can be used for any motion

controlled application. It creates a more natural

and intuitive experience for the user.

Kinect

Example video :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mr71jrkzWq8

With Kinect we can track the full body and have

whole body interaction.

Kinect is manily used in game applications or for

live events to create an engaging experience.

3D Holographic Display

Example video :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyN4PgN-inU

The 3D holographic display can project a three-

dimensional image that can be viewed from

360 degrees - regardless of the viewer’s height

and distance.

It creates the illusion of the product actually

being present in the display case. Visual

effects can be added to this projection to

show features of the product that could not be

possible normally.

Virtual Mannequin

Example video :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVFcmqfOIAs

Virtual mannequins are interactive displays

that look like a ‘hologram’ of a person. This

‘hologram’ could be a salesperson or a

celebrity or just a regular person talking about

your product or brand. It could be triggered

to activate as a person walks past to seem

more engaging as well as increase the level of

personal interaction.

It could be used a powerful and engaging sales

tool.

Spaces

Spaces is an app that provides a comprehensive

framework to showcase furniture.

It is a product visualization solution to create a

more engaging shopping experience.

The user can get a realistic 3d view of any

product from the catalogue. Multiple products

can be viewed at the same time so that users can

compare products. The products are seen in the

user’s own surroundings.

The products wll be displayed in true scale using

the Marker mode. (A marker is an image the user

can download)

Immersive Display System

Example video :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT5xtpHRdlE

An immersive display system uses a large 3-sided

screen to display an image or a video. The user

stands at the center of the room and is surrounded

by the image from 3 sides. This creates an illusion

of being in the enviroment shown on screen.
