New release strategy

• 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, …… 3.10• No more STS & LTS• Moving from Calendar based releases (every 6

months) to Feature based releases (when they are ready, possibly every month or so)

• Don’t wait until Joomla 3.5, upgrade now!

Advantages of new release strategy

• No more feature bombardment in the week prior to release

• Features can go in when they are ready (Google Summer of Code)

• No need to break everything and go to Joomla 4 just for the sake of it.

• Every major release resets support clock – (2 years)
