I used photo shop to edit these photos I used the pen tool too go over the outside of the artist so the elevator in the background was removed because it didn’t look right so I joined all the pen tools dot around the artist then right clicked to make selection and deleted the background this is a technique I have learnt and can use efficiently now and it works well because you can remove unnecessary backgrounds.

I used fireworks to edit the fonts so there was no background behind them and so I could put them on my cover in front of photos without a background so they looked better on the front. I also used fireworks to make backgrounds on fonts and I did this by using layers behind the font to change the colour of an existing background colour.

I used Publisher to make my magazine on, this was because its easy to use and gives me a pre- made template of an a4 sheet in which I can start on. Its easy to place text on by using the text box tool and its also easy to import images in to file by clicking on the image tool and then selecting the desired image. It was also easy to delete and copy images on to it if I needed to and its useful because you can save your work and keep it on your files.

It also allowed me to use columns via the line tool, which made the magazine look more presentable and organised and also I can use images from the internet in the software by saving the image from the desired site then import them by using the image symbol and then they are in your presentation.

I used the camera to get all my images for my magazine, I use various shots varying from wide shots so you can see the 2 artists across the photo and also I used low shots so everything is seen in the photo and give a rebellious mood by the artist looking down. I used close up so you can clearly see the artist face and I used these shot types for my cover lines and contents page images in the corner. I used a digital camera because they are a high quality and I can upload to the images to my documents so that I can send them to my magazine covers.
