• A credit card sized computer that can be plugged into a keyboard and monitor.
• An affordable, low-cost computer that was designed to teach computer science to students. The Model A costs $25 and the Model B costs $35.
• A computer that runs on Linux operating systems. The most common used is Raspbian, which is a flavor of Debian.
• Capable of running everyday productivity, and graphics software.
• It is also capable of running games and displaying HD video.
Why use Raspberry Pi?
• Teach/Learn computer programming.
• Connect to other devices to build more powerful microcontrollers (Udoo, Raspberry Pi AlaMode).
• Build a Supercomputer: YouTube

• Any ARM Linux distribution (not Ubuntu)
• New Out Of Box Software (NOOBS)
• What Programming Language(s) can be used?
• Default language is Python
• Can use any other language that can compile for ARMv6
