Philips Healthcare is a world leader in the health sector and employs more than 35,000 people worldwide. This webinar will highlight the internal processes at Philips Healthcare, from initial decision making to implementation to successful use of the Acrolinx software. The organization has been using Acrolinx since 2011 in Germany, the Netherlands, and the US for the creation of user guides and service information. Acrolinx supports non-native writers in producing correct and consistent content. Philips Healthcare also uses Acrolinx for their internal, company-wide terminology management. This webinar is suitable for anyone interested in the Acrolinx software, as well as any new and prospective customers who want to learn more about the implementation and use of Acrolinx in other organizations.

STE – Definition

“Simplified English is the original name of a controlled language historically developed for aerospace industry maintenance manuals. It offers a carefully limited and standardized subset of English. • 2 tools (AcrolinxIQ and “Mr. X”) were tested for 6–8 weeks by a group of technical writers

• Based on defined criteria the 2 tools were evaluated• AcrolinxIQ declared the winner – unanimously• Plan to implement created• 1st phase of the project had 4 Business Innovation Units

– 12 Domains– ~7,700 terms (2,500 “deprecated”, 4,700 “preferred”)

• 50 “named user” + 8 “concurrent user” licenses• ~100 users registered
