An AdAptAble specificity

A specific product

Exclusively dedicated to karting race courses, Viafirst® Kart fits all types of race courses, to both indoor and outdoor, for new construction or maintenance. For this type of carrying out, a special importance is granted to the driver’s experience considered as one of the criteria of work acceptance. As the evenness is therefore an important component of success, laying of Viafirst® Kart imperatively requires a binder course and a suitable guidance mode.

An AdApted result

Viafirst® Kart is a thin asphaltic concrete 0/10mm or 0/6mm continuous graded type C as defined by the standard EN 13108-1. It is preferably used with a modified bitumen, from the Styrelf® or Polybitume® range. These bitumens show a strong cohesion, a weak thermal susceptibility, a great elasticity and an excellent aging resistance.Exclusively used as a surface layer, it is laid with a thickness of minimum 40mm (in the case of 0/10mm) or 30mm (0/6mm). A tack coat with emulsion, of about 350g/m2 of residual bitumen,is always associated with Viafirst® Kart. It contributes to the waterproofing of the pavement structure and to a good bonding of the layers.

By a systematic laboratory mix design, Viafirst® Kart allows to obtain surface characteristics adapted to the client’s request.

All chArActeristics of A specific solution

The mix design of Viafirst® Kart leads to an asphalt concrete flexible but resistant that shows by the way good surface characteristics.

Subject to the validation by a mix design study, Viafirst® Kart can be produced according to the warm mix processes of the Tempera® range. It authorizes recycling by adding reclaimed asphalt pavement in the produced formula contributing to the preservation of natural resources and to energy savings.Furthermore, producing with warm mix processes simplifies considerably the working conditions, when the laying of Viafirst® Kart has to be carried out "inside" .
