Virtual Reality Solutions created by Mobile Systems Research Labs have been integrated with Virtual Reality technology. The main and most interesting feature is using VR to steer UAVs’ optical gimbal. When wearing a VR helmet the gimbal moves exactly like UAV operators head and with VR gloves he can decide what to track of where to zoom in or out. This way gimbal steering is more intuitive, it improves work effectiveness and video analysis is easier. There is also a possibility to use VR technology to steer C4I software. The user creates a sphere which is his workspace. He can move through it freely with his head and interact with selected modules or elements with his hands. This approach allows expands workspace, improves effectiveness and rises situation awareness.
