Identified pain points :
1. Platform details are not clear (people do not want to take any chances of making a mistake in getting
over/down a foot over bridge as it’s so hard to get back with language)
2. Pre- platform announcement time is very less at times (especially for the special trains). In the fear of
this few people sit on the foot over bridge with their language which in turn blocks the path.
3. Ramp is not indicated in the foot-over bridge signage
4. Ramps are mostly portrayed as meant for the physically handicapped
5. Currently physically challenged sign is used to indicate the ramps in stations. This might be misleading
and adds to the confusion.
6. Language problem
7. Uneducated

Identified pain points : Accessibility
For Elderly1. Elderly need support of railings either on stares or on a ramp.
2. They find it quite hard to cope-up with the fast moving crowd.
3. On a crowd bridge they are often subjected to accidents due to people pushing them
in a hurry to cross.
Usage of Ramp1. Indian luggage is not mostly adaptive for ramps.
2. People tend to use the shortest way possible though they have an option between
stares and ramp
3. People feel unsafe on ramps when it’s wet.

For ElderlyThese sequence of shots explains the trouble faced by elderly because of others on the stares and vise versa.
The old lady in the background could move so little, when in the mean while others happened to gather and clutter in one place as there is not much passage to cross. At the same time the old lady is panicked as she had to speedup to give way to the other passengers.
Marking special paths for the elderly and people with functional difficulties.
PurposeThough many people understand the difficulty of the elderly they are not very conscious of them while in a hurry to leave.
This marking is supposed to remind people of this often forgotten category .

Identified pain points : Adaptability
1. Baggage used by most of the Indians is not meant for pulling on ramp.
2. Usage of trolley bag is still very limited.
3. Need to understand the cultural background.

Providing trolleys in railway stations that can be used with any sort of language.

PurposeThis is to temporarily let the usage of existing baggage on ramps.
