Twitter is a micro-blogging platform. You send updates, or “tweets” of up to 140 characters
(theoretically) answering the question: What are you doing?
A better question to actually address: What has your attention now?
Your tweets are received by your “followers” – people who opt-in to receive your updates. Meanwhile you receive tweets from those you have followed.
Following is not reciprocal. Twitter is an example of a blended social/interest
