The Beaker
• The beaker is used to store liquid and measure amounts of liquid.
• The measuring marks on its side allow you to measure liquids inside the beaker.
• Also used for pouring of liquids.
The Florence Flask
• The Florence flask is used, like the beaker, to store and heat liquid.
• Also a popular container of wine or juice, the Florence flask can withstand extreme temperatures, more than just microwave safe!
The Petri Dish.• The Petri dish is a small
container used to grow microorganisms.
• Some chemicals like agar is used to grow the bacterium in the dish.
• A Lot of colleges and universities use these to teach their students about bacteria.
The Pipette.
• The Pipette is used to transfer small amount of liquid to a new container.
• Lots of laboratories use these, they are handy to use when you have a small amount of delicate liquid that needs transfer or measurement.
The Test Tube.• The test tube, like the
Pipette, is used to hold small amounts of liquid, or small solids.
• You can use the test tube by filling it with liquid, easy!
• It can be used to measure too! There are small marks that can allow you to measure liquids.
