Themes Between Gandhi and Mandela

Violence is the answer

Mandela coordinated sabotage campaigns against military and government targets making plans for a possible guerilla war.

Mandela can be represented as a believer in violence. Although he described his moves to armed struggles as a last result.

Violence is not the answer

Gandhi used non-cooperation in order to voice his opinion on topics he felt strongly about.

Instead of attacking his opponents physically, Gandhi indirectly attacked his opposition through the involvement of the masses.

Both can be described as pioneers of freedom.

They both help minority groups.

They were some of the most influential people that have lived, they created the values peace and equality.
