CMSCMS stands for Course Management System. Rouse (2011) defined CMS as a platform used to manage the content of a website. CourseSites by Blackboard is the CMS used as a teaching and learning platform for this orientation. CourseSites is an interactive teaching and learning platform that provides the creation and facilitation of online courses (CourseSites by Blackboard, 2012).

VideosA video is the display of text, graphics, and audio in digitalized file.

Online AssessmentsAn online assessment is the process of collecting information about someone or something via computer. Types of assessments could be surveys, examinations, portfolios, evaluations, testing, etc.

Discussion ForumsOnline settings that learners use to engage in discussion activities.An example of a discussion activity could be questions and answers forum.

WikisWikis are spaces on the Web where you can share ideas and content such as videos, links, pictures, media, etc. (Tangient LLC, 2012).
