THE GROWTH FORUM OF SOUTHERN DENMARK
REGIONAL GROWTH FORUMThe three main tasks of the Growth Forum are:• To prepare an economic development strategy and action plan• To monitor regional and local growth conditions• To co-finance regional economic development activities.
The Region is responsible for:Partnership Agreement with national government• Strategic co-ordination is carried out through what are known as
Partnership Agreements between national government and each of the six Regional Growth Fora.
Financing• Regional development contributions from municipalities (total of
annual € 13,5 mill.)
• Subsidies from EU Structural Funds (total of annual € 13,5 mill.) and joint financing for projects from ministries, local authorities and private contributions.

Health and social innovation Commercial strength in the fields of ICT, automation, intelligent aids and telemedicine, strong knowledge institutions
and a strong public sector with advanced test facilities. Increasing national and international demand for innovative welfare solutions.
Sustainable energy Commercial strength in the fields of offshore (supply, service, maintenance and test facilities) and energy efficiency
(power electronics, intelligent and efficient energy systems). The increasing demand for energy resources is creating an expanding global market.
Enhanced Lifestyle Economy Numerous large production companies that utilise design, strong research and education institutions, and a budding
environment of creative enterprises. Design as a driver of innovation. Denmark leads the field as regards design and creative skills – international demand. Tourism – internationally know destinations ex. LEGOLAND - Attracting increasing number of tourists
