Candidate selection process

Swing Media Recruitment offer a vigorous 7 step selection process:

1. Brief – We take a detailed brief and familiarise ourselves with the company/team/environment/company values, to help with fit.

2. Create a Candidate Profile – Creating a powerful piece of copy to attract the right candidates.

3. Candidate Attraction – Advertising, headhunting, job boards, social media, our own website, Google, our own database.

4. Candidate Screening – Manual filter of CV’s to guarantee relevant CV’s, tele-interview, send CV to client if successful and call client to discuss details and provide clarity, compile shortlist for interview, meet all shortlist F2F and feedback to client.

5. Client/Candidate Interview Process – Administer the whole process and feedback to both parties, accurately.

6. Offer – Again, administer the whole process with the client/successful candidate/s, gather references at the appropriate time.

7. Keeping in Touch – With both parties to guarantee a smooth transition into the role.

Service Level Agreements

• Swing Media Recruitment can tailor for all of your recruitment needs and have flexible fees to accommodate all budgets, payment terms and rebate periods.

• The standard Service Level Agreement is based on a percentage of the annual salary with guaranteed bonuses and car allowance/company car value added to the gross annual salary.

• Payment terms are flexible. (Details upon request)

• Sliding scales can be agreed for longer upon negotiation.

• All other services are negotiable separately.

Who are we?

Ian Warrington

Ian has over 25 years’ experience in the publishing industry

Starting his career in telesales, Ian progressed quickly to management and Director positions, working for major publishers including Associated Press, United Business Media, Emap and Bauer Media.

As an experienced Publishing Director and recruiter, Ian has great ability in finding talent to fill the vacancies for his clients with quality candidates.

Carl Donaldson

Carl started his recruitment career with Austin Benn in 1986, prior to which he had been highly successful in field sales within the automotive industry.

Whilst at Austin Benn, Carl excelled in recruitment for specialist areas including media, telecoms, mechanical engineering and sales; at one time managing a cross-discipline team of 40 specialist recruiters. Today, Carl's clients benefit from his 25 years experience and understanding of the issues they face in a demanding and highly competitive recruitment market.

Who are we?

Lin Glover - Radio

Lin is a key advisor to Swing Media in its recruitment services for radio clients. She has over 30 years experience in the commercial broadcasting industry, initially as a regulator with the Independent Broadcasting Authority during the establishment of the Independent (Commercial) Radio network in the UK.

In the late 80’s, she became independent broadcast consultant. Acknowledged her field as a programming and audience research specialist, her company advised major players in the application for and acquisition of licences for new radio stations. In addition LGA offered recruitment and head hunting services as well as marketing and the creation and execution of broadcast sponsorship and promotions for major brands across the whole Independent Radio Network.

Lin continues to be in the thick of developments in commercial broadcasting. Her contacts across all radio disciplines including programming, sales and marketing are second to none. Moreover she is acutely aware of the personal attributes and skill sets required to sustain the on-going challenges of this dynamic industry.
