HabitatIn America Swift fox are found in Texas, Iowa, Colorado , Wyoming, Montana, and Nebraska. Swift foxes prefer sparsely vegetated short and mixed prairie grass. They live in under ground dens also.

Swift foxes eat cottontail rabbits, small mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, amphibians, and dead animals. Swift foxes live up to be 10 years old in the wild and 13 years in captivity.

Birth and GrowthThe pups open their eyes and ears when they are about 10 - 15 days old. After being pregnant for 50 days the female fox give birth to 4-5 pups. When the pup is 2 Months old it is an adult.

Interesting factsA swift fox is one of the smallest foxes in the world. The swift fox closest cousins is the kit fox. The swift fox is endangered by 90% . It enemies are coyotes, eagles, red tailed hawk, and the rough legged hawk.
