SUN-OCI8100 Optical Cable Identifier
SUN-OCI8100 Series Optical Cable Identifier is an important maintenance instrument. It is specially designed for telecom engineers to identify the accurate cable by slightly knocking the cable. The vibration signal by knocking converts into visual signal and audio signal, which helps engineers to identify the target cable easily.
SUN-OCI8100 Optical Cable Identifier accords to the flexibility of the fiber optic cable and through the transfer liberation signal to visual signal and audio signal, quickly and exactly find the target cable. (In the manhole cable, duct cable, aerial cable, etc)

The equipment is applied for finding out the target cable under the manhole duct and aerial environment when
it is a natural disaster or a force influence.
SUN-OCI8100 completely replace the previous cable identification methods, which were including cutting,
bending, and freezing. These new detection technology devices do not damage the cables. Its powerful
applications can greatly reduce the cables’ repair time, reduce project construction and management costs, and
greatly improve work efficiency.
Traditional methods’ disadvantages
1. Pulling: cost lots of time, precision limited, separating problems.
2. OTDR with bending: destroy the cables
3. OTDR with freezing: hard to operate, noxious
4. Frequency testing: some direct burred cable without strength core can’t be identify.
5. Infrared source: can’t identifier the route, short testing distance.
