Fill in the necessary information.Click “Join portaportal”.
You will receive a confirmation email- be sure to click on the link in the email. Either click on the
quick start guide or the “click here to begin” button.
When you click on the “click here to begin” button, you will be taken to this screen. Click on
the “Add Categories” button.
Name your categories. You can always add or delete them later. Click “Add Categories”.
Add links by clicking on the plus sign in the category you would like to add to.
Add up to five links at a time. Click “add links” when you are done.
To add a subfolder to a category, click on the folder icon.
In the window that pops up, type in the name of the subfolder and click “ok”.
To edit links in a folder or subfolder, click on the pen icon.
From this screen, you can change the category name, display options, or link information. Click
“save changes” when you finish.
For another way to add links, click on the “quicklink” icon.
A small pop-up window will come up that you can keep open while surfing. You can specify where you would like
to mark the link, name it, and copy and paste the URL.URL
To do more advanced stuff, click on the gear icon. You can make copies of your links, check to see if they are
working, or even delete your portal.
If you need help, click on the question mark.
Clicking the question mark will bring you to the help screen.
The preferences button allows you to change the appearance of your portal.
From the preferences page, you can change your account settings and layout options.
You can change appearance here.
Allow others to view your links.
Open links in new windows, change their
order in the folders.
Additional Thoughts
• Do NOT set your guest access password to the same as your account password.
• Do NOT give your account password out.
