Maggie Koerth-Baker: How are some of the workers you spoke to doing today, health wise? Are they as surprised to be alive as we are surprised they are alive?

Dan Edge: All the workers I met for the film are doing fine health-wise. However, almost all of them told us they expect to die of cancer over the coming decades. Also some are struggling with PTSD.
