Active Lateral Suspension (ALS)

Two functions in one hard ware1) Keep carbody in centred position in curves→ Wider carbody possible→ Better cross wind stability

⇒ Improved lateral ride comfort by avoiding bump stop contact⇒ Possible to run at high speeds in curves2) Improve lateral ride comfort⇒ Same ride comfort at 250 km/h as without

Gröna Tåget wins BT Innovation Award 2008

President Andre Navarri presented the first ever BT Innovation Awardin Berlin on 9 – 11 September 2008 and said that innovation is a key contributor to growth and competitive distinction. The Gröna Tåget project is a successful example of how our innovative people transform their ideas with endurance, cleverness, creativity, timing, courage and cross-boundary teamwork into a real innovation that provides both substantially reduced energy consumption and a high-speed driving performance.

Therefore the Bombardier Transportation Innovation Award 2008 goes to the team of the Gröna Tåget and Regina 250/300 project.
