The Information Technology Storage and Cloud Operations
organization is searching for adedicated and motivated individual
who would fill the role of Senior Storage SystemsArchitect. The
StoneFly products are built for speed, thus, a proven, hands on
background ofdesigning, managing and supporting highly compute,
memory, storage and network intensiveLinux computing environments
will be needed as we look to define and migrate to a cloudoffering.
This is a bleeding- edge system and you will play a key role in
leading and navigating ustowards cloud architecture. 3. Desired
Skills & Experience Responsibilities: As the senior core team
member of the Storage and Cloud Operationsteam, the individual will
research, design, develop, and support cloudservices at RMS. This
person must have experience building cloudinfrastructure or
platform services. This person will be expected todesign and
implement large scale storage and cloud control systemsensuring
maximum uptime and reliability. Experience in distributeddesign is
required. The ideal candidate will take part in leading thestorage
design and optimization decisions as well as, help manage
thecompanys bulk storage, file serving and backup infrastructure.
You willplay a key role in designing and scaling the storage
infrastructure whichis critical to our services. You will be
responsible for documenting andanalyzing trends with respect to
data types, storage locations, and dataflow. You will also define,
manage and perform a consistent regimen ofdata recovery and
validation. As a member of our highly motivated team you should be
dedicated toexcellence and have a strong sense of personal
responsibility. This is anexcellent role for a seasoned
professional with solid experience in large-scale, distributed data
storage technology and architecture. 4. Requirements: BA/BS degree
required. Masters is a plus.Stonefly, Netapp, EMC and VMware
Certifications are a bigplus, to help underline your experience.
Minimum of 10 years ofSenior System Storage experience with
extensive knowledge ofthe following technologies; SAN, NAS, DAS,
CAS, UnifiedStorage Architectures, StorageVirtualization, iSCSI,
FC, NFS, pNFS, CIFS, FCoE, Infiniband, Ethernet, OSI model, TCP/IP.
Extensive experiencebuilding, supporting, and troubleshooting
high-volume, distributed storage solutions in
mission-criticalenvironments. Must have knowledge and experience
withvirtualization applications; VMware ESX/VSphere, RHEV,
CitrixXenserver and virtual storage systems. Significant
experiencewith large dataset storage and backup. Strong analytical
skillsapplied to capacity trending, proactive storage planning,
disasterrecovery, data protection design and configuration. Strong
cloudoperational experience and familiarity with host-based
storageplatforms. Must have experience with Linux and Microsoft O/S
asit relates to storage. You must be self-motivated, capable
ofmanaging your time well, and work efficiently without
closesupervision. Team player with excellent communication
andinterpersonal skills. 5. Desired Skills: C, C++ is a must
Knowledge of data-intensive, SQL architectures(e.g. Vertica,
Hadoop, HDFS, MongDB) is plus Data Warehousing and/or Data
