4 Forces of FlightLift- A force that pushes planes

upward. As air passes over the wings lift is created.

Bernoulli Principle Daniel Bernoulli

was born in Switzerland in the year 1700 and became one of the world’s leading mathematicians. His insight into the mechanics of the body, airflow and water flow, lead him to a discovery that changed the aviation industry forever.

Bernoulli PrincipleThe shape of an airplane wing is such that air

flowing over the top of the wing must travel faster than the air flowing under the wing, and so there is less pressure on the top than on the bottom, resulting in lift.

forward.
