Get Windows trial image from Cloudbase

Cloud base provide Windows 2012 evaluation (180 days) cloud image

You must accept the License Agreement from Microsoft for downloading the image

Choose the KVM image

Cloudbase provide two formats . Choose the KVM and download it.
* PS: Openstack support VHDX format. But I havan’t test it.

Store the image file in your local disk

The file downloaded is in compressed with gz.
After extract it’s around 16GB.
If your network is fast enough, you can now load it to https://horizon2.open.ibmcloud.com/project/instances/

Load the image to Blumix VM

1. Launch your Bluemix VM Horizon dashboard.
2. Click images3. Click “Create image.”.
4. Choose the Image source to image file. 5. Choose the the image6. Maximux Disk must >17GB7. Minimum RAM >2G

Image loaded in Bluemix VM

Click Launch to create an instance.

If you get timeout issue when loading the 16G image to Bluemix VM, you can create a Ubuntu desktop from Bluemix VM as relay station.

Run Openstack in Firefox
Download image from Cloudbase.Then upload image to Bluemix.

Now the instance is running on Bluemix VM

1. Assign a Public IP to this VM
2. Click the nstance to view the detail
