Competition for Customers
• 3rd party shoppers – limits trust• No store guarantee on quality• No store specials or sale prices• Conflict of interest among national
chains, investors, and independents
• Food sourced from warehouses - limits trust• Requires high population density to
operate
• Restricted to only Ahold owned supermarkets• Consistently poor customer reviews on
Yelp for customer service• Most food sourced from warehouses -
limits trust
• Trained store employees fill orders• Store reputation at stake• All sale prices honored• Focused on Independent grocers
• Food sourced from local grocers• Rosie can work with any grocer in the
US. Has success in both small & large markets

Key Issues Rosie Advantage
WarehouseBig Box Local
Urban Only
Access For All
Rosie vs. Instacart
• Instacart is TaskRabbit applied to grocery shopping.• They subvert the stores with their runners, and no one
is held accountable for customer problems - this is why Trader Joe’s banned Instacart from their stores.
• In addition, Instacart does nothing apart to help the grocery stores other than whatever incremental revenue they generate from online purchases.
• Rosie provides retailers tools to help them understand their customers (the analytics platform) and adapt their brand to that understanding (integrated marketing).
Rosie vs. Google Express
• Our ecommerce platform is in the same space as Google Express.
• However, we differ from Google Express in that our goal is not only to change the grocery shopping experience, but to revolutionize the local merchant experience as a whole.
• Our focus is spent on bringing local merchants into the technological era by empowering them with the cloud and big data.
• As you saw in our revenue model, most of our revenue actually come directly from the retailers in exchange for these tools.
• Google Express is ultimately about the consumer, only using grocers as intermediary distributors.
