• 34 percent have made a purchase using their mobile phone compared to 19 percent in 2011

• Mobile Marketing Association study finds mobile ads should account for 7% of marketing budgets. The space is currently seeing spends around 1%

• 25 percent of consumers engage in online shopping only via mobile

• 19% of the world’s 6 billion mobile users are already using location based services, with 62% aspiring to do so in the future

• Mobile search will generate 27.8 billion more queries than desktop search by 2016

• 50% of smartphone shoppers use a GPS/mapping app to find a retail location; 44% access the site of a retailer where they typically shop; 34% downloaded a retailer’s app
