Advantages- Generalities
Technology may help to save staff work time.
Robots imitate the work of humans, so the owners of business may save money of salaries.
Turning to robots makes economic sense. Robots might be able to do things that
humans cannot do. For example carrying certain heavy products. This might help humans in everyday activities.

More advantages..- Artificial Pets They are not as messy as real pets. For example they might be
programmed not to bite shoes. In addition the pets might be much
more clean They will not produce excretion
(making it easier for the owner as they wont have to clean after the pet)
Artificial pets Cheaper to maintain- they don’t eat Easier to maintain- you don’t have to
be aware of giving them food or taking it to the vet.
They don’t mess up the house and they don’t make it dirty
Effects of this interaction. Employees may lose their jobs
Disadvantages:Robots for the elderly: Psychological damage for patients Less understanding Less affection Robot cant reason Loss of real interaction More time spent with robot than real
human
Psychological effects for pets: You cant feel love for a robot Some psychologists use pets as a
therapy for pacients but it is very difficult to use robots for these kind of therapies
Real pets may provide the owner affection and company – a robot cant because it is not a living being
Psychological effects for robots taking care of elderly: Loss of human contact and
interaction
