RESEARCHMy research activities during the past twenty (20) years (including the past 6 years at IIT) have been directed towards issues related to energy and environment. Most of my research work has focused on Gas Processing and Separation, which included, Removal of Contaminants from Gas Streams, Process Design and Development, and Natural Gas Processing. As one of the leading researchers in the field of Gas Cleaning, I have received funding from the United States Department of Energy (USDOE), the State of Illinois, as well as various industrial sponsors during the past 20 years. My Gas Processing & Separation Laboratory at IIT is well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, measurement and data acquisition systems for development and evaluation of new processes and sorbents/catalysts for a wide range of applications. A summary of my research activities are given below:Current Projects (at IIT)

Development of a regenerative process for simultaneous CO2 removal and Hydrogen Production Development of a regenerative process for simultaneous SOX/NOX removal process Comparative study of CaO sulfation with SO2 and SO3.
