Define Research

- Research is searching for theory, for testing theory, and for solving a problem. It means that a problem exists and has to be identified, to be solved or recommend for solutions to the problem when needed.

- In scientific research, research is systematic, controlled , empirical and critical investigation of hypothetical propositions about a presumed relations among natural phenomena (Kerlinger, 1973). This meaning has been quoted many times by various authorities in Research. It follows a step by step procedure in identifying problem(s), collecting and interpreting data, drawing conclusions and integration of these conclusions into the stream of knowledge. It is controlled unlike ordinary problems which may be solved immediately.
