John R. Woloshen is highly experienced in HMDA/CRA compliance, banking software and software development in general. His success has been achieved through applied creativity, hard work, attention to detail and an uncompromising insistence on doing the job right. John’s dedication to quality has resulted in a consistently high level of customer satisfaction with all of RATA’s products and services. Before founding RATA Associates, John held executive positions with The Bendix Corporation and American Management Systems.
John A. Woloshen joined RATA Associates in 1989 as VP of Sales and Marketing. For more then 10 years John was in charge of marketing RATA’s DOS compliance software, overseeing the geocoding services department, maintaining 3rd party relationships, and managing various aspects of the business.
In October of 2000, John was promoted to Executive Vice President/COO and was placed in charge of all operations. Since that time, RATA has re-established itself as the technology leader in the Regulatory Compliance arena. RATA’s attention to detail and quality of products is a direct refl ection of both John and his father’s family ethics, values and commitment.
John earned a BS degree in fi nance from Richard Stockton College, NJ and has attended continuing education programs throughout his tenure.

Comply uses a Wizard approach for most aspects of the system to ensure that you get the results intended. With the system’s Import Wizard, you are guided through the process of importing your applications from any origination system.
Define Your Data ImportComply allows you to create Import Defi nitions which defi ne how an origination fi le should be imported into the system. This saves you time when importing data because all fi les are handled properly and consistently.
Data Integrity ChecksThe Import Wizard analyzes the data being imported and provides the user a summary to confi rm the actions performed. The entire process is designed to take the complexity out of importing your LAR data.

The Export Wizard guides you through the process of creating a fi le that may contain any LAR, geographic and demographic data from the Comply system in a variety of formats. This allows you to use your LAR data in other systems for additional analysis, reporting or other data manipulation.
Define Your Data ExportExport Defi nitions allow you to defi ne what data is exported from the system. Any or all system fi elds can be selected for export.

Multi-User CapabilityBecause of the Enterprise nature of Comply, depending on your confi guration, multiple users can edit data at the same time to increase effi ciency and spread out the work load.
With Comply, editing your LAR data couldn’t be easier. You can edit your data using a variety of methods. The software allows for manual changes, partial updates using data imports, global changes of fi ltered subsets and imports of Comply EC corrections from individual branches.
Event HistoryThe Event History keeps track of user activity so that the system administrator can track key changes that have been made to the system.
Single-Application View / Datagrid ViewUsers have the option of viewing their data in the standard Single-Application View or in the Datagrid View with the ability to easily sort and organize their data with the familiar look and feel of a spreadsheet.

QCOK Quality IssuesA common problem with Quality edit checks is the fact that many are correct and cannot be eliminated. To solve this, you can use Comply’s advanced QCOK functionality to verify these edits as correct and remove them from future edit reports.
Distribution of Edit Check ReportsFiltered edit reports may be exported in hard copy or electronic form for distribution to branches. Corrections made with RATA’s Comply EC software can be easily imported back into the system to eliminate manual adjustments.
A core function of Comply is adherence to the FFIEC Quality and Validity edit check rules. The XML-based edit check engine ensures full compliance to all published guidelines and allows for easy updating based on regulatory changes.

Seamless IntegrationComply offers seamless integration with GeoPlus. When exporting data for geocoding, eligible address data is encrypted using 128-bit AES encryption algorithms and transmitted to RATA’s geocoding server. Comply uses a Wizard approach for the submission process to facilitate a 100% successful submission of your LAR data on the fi rst try. By using preemptive logic and a guided path, the Comply Submission Wizard prevents routine mistakes and the possibility of submitting erroneous data.
Check TwoAs the Submission Wizard guides the user through the process, the user is required to acknowledge that key steps have been completed prior to creation of the submission fi le. These virtual checks are recorded in the Event History to provide accountability.
Check OneThe Pre-Submission Sentry quickly audits your LAR data to ensure that four key elements required for submission have been successfully completed. If any of these elements fail, the submission is postponed until corrections are made.
The FFIEC encryption engine has been integrated into Comply. This eliminates the need to use any programs outside of Comply to complete the submission process and ensures that your data is safe to submit via e-mail or other delivery methods.
