QuickStart Guide: Connecting to NUwave for Apple Mac OS X Computers

This Quickstart Guide will help you to connect to NUwave, Northeastern University’s secured Network for faculty, staff and students. Students will need their myNEU username and password to access NUwave. Faculty and staff must use their NU desktop username and password to access NUwave.

1. On the Mac OSX desktop, click the wireless icon on the upper right hand side of the screen. Click NUwave from the menu that appears.

2. When the AirPort window appears, students must enter their myNEU username and password; faculty and staff must enter their NU desktop login username and password. Check the Remember password in my keychain. Click OK.

3. When the authentication certificate appears, click the show certificate button.

4. When the window expands, click Trust Settings .

In the drop-down menu next to the When using this certificate , select the Always Trust option. Make sure that the other drop-down menus have the Always Trust option displayed, and then click the Continue button.

After following these steps, whenever your computer detects NUwave you will be able to connect automatically. If you have problems connecting to NUwave, please contact the Information Services Help Line at (617) 373-4357(xHELP).
