6. Wireless Infrastructure Platform
Wireless technologies offer fast deployment of a platform that is
independent of network operators existing legacy fixed line
systems. It is therefore a true alternative platform. Wireless
broadband promises to deliver all the services as fixed-line
broadband but without the wires. It has the advantage of broad
coverage, mobility, and relatively low capital expenditure and
usage tariffs. Coverage is a key advantage of wireless broadband
technology in that it offers throughput rates comparable to fixed
line broadband but in coverage area comparable to mobile
services.

8. Technology
PLSB will be offering both portable & fixed wireless broadband
communication infrastructure and services i.e. providing the last
mile solution to individual/residential or business market based on
Internet Protocol (IP) network. Initially PLSB provides
connectivity for internet access, and later on is planning to
embark on providing value added services such as wireless data
services, voice communications (VoIP/IP Telephony), and other
applications to the market.
PLSB has selected TDMA Technology to provide wireless broadband
services that utilise the non licensed spectrum: 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz.
This wireless broadband technology offers the opportunity to cost
efficiently and quickly deploy a state-of-the-art broadband network
that can provide high quality, fast, and competitively priced
bandwidth and associated services to the Malaysian public.
The deployment of PLSB broadband network will increase the speed of
adoption of broadband in the nation and assist the government in
its ambition to create a k-economy. Since the whole network is
based on internet protocol, uses non licensed spectrum based upon
existing Wi-Fi 802.11a,b,g and n standards, PLSB believes that the
wireless broadband network will offer a platform for third parties
to develop advanced applications and for customers to take
advantage of the high bandwidth connectivity to embrace the real
broadband experience.
9. Depending on the customers requirements, Our Company will
service the client utilizing either point-to-multi point line of
sight wireless technology on the 5.8GHz band technology or non-line
of sight point-to-multipoint wireless technology on the 2.4GHz band
technology.
