Tax and external auditors, as well as internal auditors, often require large data
extracts to be performed on SAP systems. Such requests are often performed with
„emergency‟ status.
From the IT department point of view, such data extracts are time consuming to
manage, distract key people from planned tasks, and may be technically tricky to
perform. Large data volumes are complex to extract, archived data may need to be
extracted too, SAP system performance may be at risk, and data security is always
an issue.
From the auditors point of view, getting extracts quickly and getting trustable data
extract is key when facing such situations as tax audits.
AEC was created after listening to internal and external auditors complaints when
dealing with SAP data extraction requests. We picked up each and every issue and
came up with a solution to efficiently manage SAP data extracts for tax and audit
departments, with full security for SAP competence centers.
