MOVEMEMENT OF THE EARTH
THE MOVEMENT OF THESE PLATES CAUSES CHANGES ON SURFACE ON THEOF THE EARTH.
THE EARTH MOVEMENT ARE DIVIDED ON THE BASIS OF THE FORCES WHICH CAUSE THEM.
THEY ARE:-ENDOGENIC FORCESEXOGENIC FORCES
ENDOGENIC FORCES CONSISTS OF:-
EARTHQUAKE
VOLCANO
LANDSLIDES
HOW DOES EARTHQUAKE OCCUR DUE TO THE PLATES
VOLCANO
A volcano is an opening, or rupture, in a planet's surface or crust, which allows hot magma, volcanic ash and gases to escape from the magma chamber below the surface.
Deep below the Earth's crust, the temperatures and pressures are great enough to melt rock. When this moltenrock blasts to the surface, the result is a volcano - and forthe inhabitants of the place, it's as if Hell has been let loose.
Why do Volcanoes occur? Volcanoes occur when the Earth's pl
ates pull apart causing magma to rise to the surface. Volcanoes can also occur over hotspots and where one plate dives beneath another, forcing magma to rise to the surface. Plates diving under one another is known as subduction.
Where do Volcanoes occur? Volcanoes usually occur on the edge
s of plates, similar to where earthquakes occur. A lot of volcanoes occur in the area around the edge of the Pacific ocean called the Pacific Ring of Fire. Volcanoes can also occur in the middle of plates, in hotspots. One such hotspot has formed the Hawaiian islands chain. As the earth rotated, it passed over the hotspot and new islands were formed.
LANDSLIDES
What are landslides and how do they occur? Landslides have always existed on our
planet. Generally classified as mass movements of rock, debris, and soil down a slope of land. While landslides are a naturally occurring environmental hazard they have recently increased in frequency in certain areas due to human activity. Although there are many different causes of landslides, they all have two things in common. They are the results of the failure of the soil and rock materials that make up the hill-slope and they are driven by gravity."

WORK OF A RIVER
WEATHERING Weathering is the breaking down
of rocks, soils and minerals as well as artificial materials through contact with the Earth's atmosphere, biota and waters. Weathering occurs in situ, or "with no movement", and thus should not be confused with erosion, which involves the movement of rocks and minerals by agents such as water, ice, snow, wind, waves and gravity.
Erosion The removal of solids like
sediments, soil rocks and other particles in the natural environment.
THE ERODED MATERIALS GETS SET DOWN IN THE EARTH SURFACE.
DEPOSITION
DUE TO THESE PROCESS DIFFERENT LANDFORMS ON THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH .
LANDFORMS FORMED BY THE RIVER
WATERFALL
A WATERFALL IS A PLACE WHERE FLOWINGWATER RAPIDLY DRROPS IN ELEVATION AS ITFLOWS OVER A STEEP REGION OR A CLIFF.
MEANDERSA meander, in general, is a bend in a
sinuous watercourse or river. A meander is formed when the moving water in a stream erodes the outer banks and widens its valley and the inner part of the river has less energy and deposits what it is carrying.
OX BOW LAKEAn oxbow is a crescent-
shaped lake lying alongside a winding river. The oxbow lake is created over time as erosion and deposits of soil change the river's course.
FLOODPLAIN
A floodplain or flood plain is an area of land adjacent to a stream or river that stretches from the banks of its channel to the base of the enclosing valley walls and experiences flooding during periods of high discharge.
LEVEES
Naturally formed raised bank along the side of a river channel are called natural environment .
The river approaches the sea the river begins to break up into many streams called distributaries
LANDFORMS FORMED BY THE SEA WAVES
Due to continuous strikes of sea waves at the rocks , cracks appear in the rocks . Changes appear in the rocks.
LANDFORMS FORMED BY THE GLACIERS
THE DEPOSITS OF MATERIAL CARRIED BY THE GLACIER IS CALLED GLACIAL MORAINES.
