What we have done
National agreement with ORCID: Cineca as
consortium leader supported by ANVUR and
CRUI - I.R.ID.E project
ANVUR made ORCID mandatory in order to
partecipate in the National Assesment (from November
2015)
Creation of a working group for the I.R.ID.E project
(ANVUR, Cineca, rapresentatives from
Universities and Research Centers)
Integration with ORCID trough a central component
- the ORCID HUB - to facilitate the adoption of
the identifier
Documentation in Italian for the end users, including the translation of ORCID FAQ +
specific FAQ for the national project + ORCID’s website
and Researcher’s UI (soon)
Events with Universities, Recorded Webinar and
short video tutorial

Collected authorization tokens for all the integrated applications can be download by the administrators of the single application as XLS files, retrieved using REST WS or received in realtime as POST notification from the Hub to the registered application endpoint

The administrators of an integrated application will be able to use their ORCID credential to download data from the ORCID registry as XLS files. The same file can be manipulated offline and upload in the system to propagate the changes to the ORCID registry. The Hub will use the application collected authorization to operate the read/write actions

How it works

The Create or associate ORCID button include an OTT (one time ticket) generated by the application using the Hub integration-WS. In this way the Hub known which users is loggedin
