analysis at the each location level.
» Web based Project Gant Chart enables the user to visualize the project schedule and
also shows the current completion of each task.
» BoQs for each task on the WBS can be picked up from the BoQ Templates master that
we have setup in the Construction Master Setup and they could be modified at the finer
levels to suit the current need in this project.

» WBS BoQs are linked with the Contract definition. This ensures the effective tracking
of Contract vs. Completed vs. Invoiced Quantities. This is required only for contracting
companies.
» WBS definition also supports sub-contracted work items which will be executed by sub-
contractors. This work could be tracked by an optional sub-contractor portal where they
could feed in their execution details and submit for invoicing.
» Project Plans support multiple versions and each approved version has its own validity
period.
» Changes on the project plan are supported by the multiple version support provided for
any given project. From the effective date an approved changed project plan becomes
active for further budget changes and tracking of the project.
» Necessary Alerts, Dashboard widgets and Reports are available.
» Project Estimation is achieved by running estimation processor with Project Plan
data (BoQ quantities and the sub details of each BoQ item like labour, material and
equipments, etc).
» We have option to get material’s current market price and vendor quoted price for
selected BoQ from procurement department.
» Budget on all the material, labour and equipment requirements could be set based
on the outcome of the estimation which will be used during execution to alert the
management while utilization of any resource exceeds its budget in terms of Quantity
or monetary Value.
» During the budgeting process there has been a working capital assignment for each
project budget. This is provided to ensure over utilization of company fund by any single
project.
» During budgeting, Petty Cash limit is set to ensure unreasonable utilization of petty cash
during project execution.
» Budget supports multiple versions to be in line with the current approved project plan.
» Project resource requirements could be requested by submitting Material Request,
Labour Request, Equipment and Petty Cash requests.
» Each request goes into approval workflow based on the requestor, total monetary value
of the request. These rules are set in the construction Access Control section.
» Using Email add-on both requester and approver will get mail(s) on each action until
request get approved/rejected by last user/role defined in workflow.

» While requesting any resource for a particular project, qty and monetary values are
checked against the budget and alerted upfront on any violation.
» Labour Movements From and to of any project is being tracked using Employee In and
Employee Out feature. Similarly we have for Equipments. Material receipt is handled in
a different way.
» Requests could be tracked from a single window to know the current status.
» Project production is being reported by using the daily production entry which is against
the project plan. Budget vs. Actual reports are available based on the daily production
entry.
» Daily production entry captures material consumption on a daily basis against the WBS
and BoQ item. Which leads us to get fine grained details on the utilization of resources
vs produced. Material consumption directly reduces the project inventory directly to
show the current stock.
» Daily production entry captures the Labor utilization on a daily basis. Also this helps to
have the accurate timesheet for the contract employees where normally disputes will
arise.
» Daily production entry captures the Equipment utilization precisely on a daily basis. This
helps to maintain the timesheet for hired Equipments.
» Necessary Alerts, Dashboard widgets and Reports are available.
» All the labour resources are maintained as a pool of resources in this section. Normally
this is managed by logistics department.
» Provides ability to handle contract labour requirements. Handles labour contracts and
their Timesheet and Invoice management.
» Labour requests are approved by various levels before Labour Issuance. Labour issuance
is a process of allocation the resource’s to any project by marking their calendar. This
process ensures the effective utilization and control over the Human Resources.
» Labour movement From and To of this department is being tracked using the Employee

» Labour Management takes care of Labour Request, Labour Cancellation Request, Labour

Equipment Management
Material Management
» All the Equipments are maintained in a central equipment pool and this is maintained
by logistics.
» Features supported are handling of Equipment Requests, Equipment Cancellation
Requests, Equipment Extension Requests. In addition to that it takes care of the
Equipment issuance, Equipment movements From and To for projects.
» Equipment rental management is supported and there is an integrated work flow to
create a rental equipment request based on the availability of specific Equipment
and the requests.
» Equipment Timesheet Management and rental settlement is supported.
» Reports and Dashboard widgets available to depict the utilization of Equipments
available in the organization.
» Necessary Alerts, Dashboard widgets and Reports are available.
» Supports centralized procurement of materials for all the projects handled by the
company.
» Approved Material requests are put in the material issuance queue and based on the
material’s availability in the central warehouse either it will be issued from the central
warehouse or a purchase request is created.
» Based on the purchase request this is being purchased from the desired vendor and
then depending on the delivery it will be either directly issued to the project by the
vendor or it will be transferred via central warehouse.
» Material requests and their corresponding movements and fulfilments are being tracked
end to end.
» During the material request approvals, current project warehouse quantity of the
material is being shown to the approver for the material requested. This is to ensure
only necessary qty is being stocked for any given material.
» For Purchase Order to vendor, Purchase Invoice, payments to vendor we are using
Openbravo’s Purchase, Finance and Accounting modules.
» Also metR provides a key feature to manage the client provided materials during
execution which should not affect our inventory values but to be tracked on the
inventory.

» Project invoicing consists of two key components.
Survey
Invoicing
» Project Survey is meant to submit the unbilled project production to be surveyed by the
customer / customer’s representative and provide approval for the completed BoQs.
» Project survey process produces the survey document based on the Project Contract
and Unbilled Project production entries for the given stipulated time.
» Project survey helps to keep track of the production submission for survey and approval
for the production.
» Project survey helps to keep track of the production submission for survey and approval

» Project invoicing helps to create the WIP invoice based on the Approved Project Survey
document. This Work In Progress invoice is created as a sales invoice to keep track of the
receivable and receipts from the customer.

» Requests (Material and Sub-Contract) received from different projects may consolidate
as single quote by the procurement department and send it to authorized vendors by
mail.
» Once dead line crosses, procurement department will open quotations received from
different vendors and evaluate and send selected quotation for approval based on the
document rule.
» For Purchase Order to vendor, Purchase Invoice, payments to vendor we are using
Openbravo’s Purchase, Finance and Accounting modules.
» Ability to get feedback from project team on each vendor helps us during vendor
quotation evaluations to choose the appropriate vendor for that requirement.

» HR employee defines information about employee id, personal information, certification
details, address, dependents, current position and immediate reporting person.
» HR have option to import time sheet which submitted by project management this is the
initiation of payroll management.

» Payroll configuration defines name of configuration and pay type whether monthly
or hourly. This configuration also called global payroll definition, it differentiate both
income and deduction components and each component have option to enter formula.
» Once payroll configuration get ready we need to associate with employee. Here we
can add employee specific rules and values for static components (ie,. Food Allowance,
etc..).
» Loan request component defines employee requested amount with instalment period
and when it will effect in payroll, this request are approved by various levels before
disbursal.
» Payroll details defines the preview of employee salary before generate payslip.
» We can process pay slip for a single employee or all employees who working in
organization in a single shot.
Project Costing
Asset / Equipment Maintenance
» Calculates cost for equipment, labour, material and petty cash used in the project.
» Project costing setup defines the project for which costing is to be calculated and have
option to include unused employee / equipment and overtime wage based on position
(Note: Ability to import from global definition).
» Project costing is supported by standard cost (labour & equipment) and average cost
(material).
» Necessary Alerts, Dashboard widgets and Reports are available.
» Ability to define Preventive Maintenance schedules for Equipments / Assets.
» Supports time based, Performance based and combined Preventive Maintenance

» Provides interface to capture periodic meter readings from different equipments.
