1. A game that requires a connection to the Internet to play; they are distinct from video and computer games in that they are normally platform-independent, relying solely on client-side technologies (normally called “plug-ins”). Normally all that is required to play Internet games are a Web browser and the appropriate plug-in (normally available for free via the plug-in maker’s Web site).

2. Is the type of gaming where players use the Internet as a medium to play with other players.

3. Games played exclusively on the Internet, such as World of Warcraft, and typically involve fiction, role playing and unusual skills
