Odisha is not poor, but has been kept poor by

corrupt politicians and bureaucrats

Inertia and indifference of govt authorities are

the main reasons of poverty

Odisha with its huge natural resources can be a

rich state with well spelled out vision and a

master plan

Major issues before the state

Unemployment

Corruption at grassroot

Theft of mining resources

Administrative lethargy

Income disparity

Where Govt has failed

Law and order

Framers empowerment

Royalty increase

Controlling corruption

Infrastructure development

Govt and unempoyment

Govt has seriously failed to contain

unemployment due to its focus on large

industries in preference to small and

employment generating units.

Programs like Rs 1 rice proved a serious

dampener to development and disincentive to

agriculture there by reducing employment in

agro sector.

Govt is a victim of corporate lobbying.

Lack of will power

Harboring corrupt politicians

Inefficient execution of programs

Flawed monitoring of programs

Political will power, why it missing ?

Leader not acquainted with local language

Lack of knowledge

Iron curtain between general people and the

top leader

No feedback processing, filtering out of

information

People's grievances, complaints don’t reach

as they are filtered out through layers of

bureaucracy.

Failure to learn local language keeps the

leader in dark about most of the problems

faced by the ordinary man leading to the

biggest challenge for good governance

Reliance on bureaucrats lead to irresponsible

and unaccountable decision making .People’s

concerns are not factored into.

Leader’s unwillingness to meet his subjects

makes him less informed and more prone to

be influenced by vested interest groups

People’s complaints, grievances are filtered

out through layers of bureaucracy .

Now what we need is a change of

government
