We all make the resolution to stay organized and become more efficient learn how to utilize technology instead of letting it create clutter - both real and digital. During this presentation, help yourself become prepared to meet and exceed this goal. Learn how to declutter, dedupe and easily organize your files. Organize incoming knowledge to maximize the time you have and to avoid becoming overwhelmed. Learn about tools you can use to help yourself stay organize. Organize your technology to ensure data security, back-ups, and other important processes are running at full efficiency. Rachel Eichen is a presenter who has had over four years of teaching experience. She teaches librarian-centric webinars on such topics as G-mail, Memes, and Reddit. She also currently works as a clinical trainer teaching nurses how to use smartphone software in the hospital. In the past, Rachel has taught computer classes to passengers on the Grand Princess cruise ship. Rachel holds a Master’s degree in Library & Information Science and a bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing.

• Duplicate Cleaner• Delete Duplicate Files•

Folder Size
Organize Your Files
Create Folders
• Right Click on Desktop (or within folder)• New > Folder• Name Meaningfully
Everything Has a Place•No Files left on Desktop or in folder• Create as many folders as needed• Folders Need Meaningful Names
Tip: Use Folder View with Preview On to peak at files without opening them or use the slide arrow to make images largest enough to preview
Moving Files
• PC:• Hold control to select multiple files• Control + X = Cut • Control + V = Paste• Control + A = Select All• Alternatively, you can drag files to a new folder
• Mac• Hold Command to select Multiple Files• One select, click and drag to new folder
Tip: Make sure you cut don’t copy files as you move them

• Change your default Save Destination & Download Destinations to Desktop (Not my documents or downloads- where things will just gather)

•When Downloading Rename Pictures, Documents give a meaningful Name• Date• Event• Person• Tag if possible
