NBMR Overview
NBMR is a Bare Machine Recovery solution that allows EMC NetWorker users to recover machines directly from their NetWorker backups.
In the event of a server failure, NBMR will automatically recover the operating system and applications so that no additional backup needs to be performed, and no additional storage or network bandwidth is required.
This means that, unlike other BMR products, no separate backup application needs to be installed, managed and monitored.
NBMR is sold by EMC and leading partners worldwide.
NBMR Key Benefits
Backups are performed by NetWorker, retaining the features and advantages of that software.
NBMR can recover a server operating system in as little as ten minutes and multiple servers can be recovered simultaneously. A whole data centre can be recovered in just a few hours.

to virtual and Cloud machines. NBMR allows you to easily achieve your recovery RTOs and

NetWorker backup
Install NBMR onto source servers (Prerequisite: NetWorker Client is installed)
Source Systems can be Physical, Virtual or Cloud
Configure NetWorker Client and ensure Client is backing up all file systems (and VSS objects if Windows)
Use “savepnpc” in your NetWorker server configuration to ensure nbmrcfg is run prior to your NetWorker backup.
