Some Words of Urgency“The challenge for school leaders is to
surround themselves with, and listen to technology users and visionaries. Schools have a moral obligation to prepare students for their technology-infused, globally interconnected futures….”

What might this “technology” look like in a writing
assignment…?”
Consider a topic like “Life Changing Experiences”
Could cite examples like: Saul/Paul, Peter’s denial, Moses’ burning bush experience
OR, one might show a video like…
Paul Potts Video
A shy guy who sells cell phones
He wants to be an opera singer
I encourage you to watch the body language and facial expressions of Paul, the judges, and the audience.
Which introduction (“traditional” vs. “technological”) to an assignment like this do you think would be more motivating to your students?
Why?
