What is a meteor?

• A meteor is a line of light in the sky caused by small particles of dust or a piece of space rock which enters in the Earth's atmosphere and gets burned.

What are meteor showers?

• Meteor Showers are numerous meteors seen in short time as the Earth moves through a cloud of meteoroids.

When do meteor showers happen?

• The meteor showers happen when the Earth passes through the orbit of a comet, in these areas there are usually lots of dust accumulated. Then we can see many stars falling in a short time. These rains are repeated on the same date, every year, and we always see the meteors coming from the same direction.

Famous meteors:

• Ensisheim is the oldest meteor which fell on the Earth the 7th of november in 1492.

Famous meteors:

• Cape York it was discovered in 1963 and it is one of the biggest meteors in the world.

Real meteors:

• This video was on tv, and happened in the USA.
