Keeping Track Of Work...

I used blogger to display all my work throughout the whole of my project

Using blogger allowed me to keep track of all of my work and keep it together, this made it easier for me to see how much I have done and also what I need to do next.

Having my work recorded in order allowed me to find any piece that I need to quickly, this was good as I could easily relate back to any research and work that I have previously done.

Keeping In Contact…Using blogger allowed me and Georgia, my partner, to keep in contact and share our work. She was able to go online and view my blog at any time to see what work I have done.

This allowed us to easily share lesson plans and progress as she could see any posts that I had made about what we plan to do next so she is prepared for the lesson and also the same with me.

Skills…

I have previously used blogger so knew roughly how to use it however I think during my project I have learnt how to use it a lot more efficiently.

I have learnt how to change the order of posts, add different mediums of work, such as images, surveys and YouTube videos and also make it look more professional and appropriate to the work that is on it.

Honest Feedback...To help me get some feedback I created a survey using Survey Monkey, this is an online software which allows you to create a professional looking survey. I made a survey about my music video so that I could get some feedback.

It lets people give feedback anonymously, which I think is better as people are normally more honest when it is anonymous.

Reflecting On Feedback...

This helped me with my evaluation as I was able to analyse the results, finding out what people liked and didn’t like about our video.

I benefited from making this survey because it allowed me to get feedback about my video. It made it easier for people to let me know what they thought as it was accessible alongside our video on my blog. I was also able to reflect on the feedback

and it made it easier for me to decide what I would change or keep the same if I were to do the project again.

Adobe Premier Editor...

We used Adobe Premier Editor to edit and put together our finished video.

I learnt how to add an mp3 file into the software and add it in with the footage. I also learnt how to cut, add and drag the footage so that it is synchronised with the music on the mp3 file. This was important as we had to make it look like it was us that was singing to make it look more realistic and professional.

I have used this before for my previous project so I had some skills with it. However at first I wasn’t very confident with using the software on my own, but after being shown and working with the others, I was then able to work confidently on my own to edit our video.

Audience Interaction...We posted our video on YouTube so that other people can see it. This gave people the opportunity to watch and leave feedback about our video as there is a comment box underneath and also a like and disliked button.

A view count is also on there, allowing us to keep track of how many people have viewed it.

This feedback helped me with my evaluation as I could see how popular our video was.

Genre Research...

Using YouTube I was able to watch other music videos for research. I watched and analysed the official videos of other pop artists.

After me watching several pop videos, YouTube started to suggest other similar pop artists down the side bar. One artist that I didn’t before think of that was suggested was Rihanna.

Watching the videos allowed me get a better idea of what is included in a music video and also what makes a pop video. I was able to watch, pause and rewind the videos whenever I wanted to. I was able to get a better understanding of the mise en scene, shot types and angles used in similar videos to that what I wanted to create.

Audience Interaction...

We created a Facebook page for GR Productions

It allowed us to share our video with our friends on Facebook. This gives our video a wider audience as we are posting it directly to people that we know rather than leaving it on YouTube for people to stumble across.

Using Facebook allowed us to get feedback from our audience and also see more information about who is viewing our video from their profile.

Audience Interaction...We set up a Twitter account for GR Productions, where we posted our video. Twitter, like Facebook allows us to see who is viewing our video and know more about them from their profiles

Here are people that are following our Twitter page. They have all watched our video and are supporting us by following our page.

When people ‘retweet’ something it means that they like it and want to share it with others, some of our followers retweeted our video, which helped us by virally spreading our video.
