Magento Countdown Installation Guide

Installation

1. First of all, back up your store database and web directory. It is wise to perform this procedure before any installation.

2. On your back end, go to System → Magento Connect → Magento Connect Manager and log in to Magento Connect Manager with administrator credentials.

3. Under “Direct package file upload” section, browse for package file and hit “Upload”.

4. Return to website back end, log out and then log in again. 5. Flush Magento Cache under System → Cache Management. 6. Congratulations! You are now ready to use Countdown extension.

Configuration/Usage

Adding Countdown Timer via Catalog Price Rules You can apply timers to a bunch of products using default Magento Price Rules. Go to Promotions → Catalog Price Rules and create a new rule by clicking “Add New Rule” button.

4. Enter timer title and select timer design on Countdown tab:

Adding Countdown Timer via Countdown Rules You can apply timers to a bunch of products using own Countdown Rules. Go to Promotions → Countdown Timers → Rules and create a new rule by clicking “Add New Rule” button.

Adding Countdown Timer for individual product You can apply timers to each product individually from product edit page. Go to Catalog → Manage Products → <Product Name> → Countdown






Design Configurator Unique design can be configured for each timer and the design amount is unlimited. To create a new or to change already existed timer design, go to Promotions → Countdown Timers → Designs:
