During the filming day of shooting our teaser trailer, we were suppose to also take images for our marketing campaign; magazine cover and film poster.

However we ran out of time and only took basic pictures so we decided to make plans to re shoot the pictures in order to achieve the best possible quality.

Us crew members have a group chat in which we discussed what would be best;

Before taking the pictures, we set up the lighting as 3 point lighting system. That way we could illuminate the characters against the white wall and reduce the chance of shadows.

We also used a Canon 600DSLR Camera for the best quality and a tripod so our photos were still.

At times we used the timer setting on the camera so we could all be in the shot.

When shooting we knew we had some key ideas we wanted to take pictures of;• Full Body Pictures• Laughing Pictures• Low angle shot of Knee to Feet.

We managed to achieve all these shots, on the next couples slides I have posted a few of our pictures we took, to show the variation of different shots we attempted.

By taking many shots, when it comes to editing and picking our final pictures, we have a variety to choose from.

Summary of SuccessOverall I believe our idea of reshooting was very successful. Here is an example of a shot

from our old shoot to our new one-

In conclusion, we prefer the new photos not only did we get a much bigger variety so there will be an apparent difference between the magazine cover and film poster. But too the standard of quality is better, because the first photos were screen shot of a video and the lighting was poor as shot outside. By taking actual photos and using the 3 point lighting system we have achieved a much more professional looking picture, ultimately improving the quality and persuasiveness of our marketing campaign.
