I further developed this

convention by adding an extra

layer of depth to the cover, I

have done this by further

extracting the hand and

hammer and overlaid it over

the film title, thus giving the

impression the arm is

‘reaching out’ and pointing at

the viewer.

This is an example of how I

used the left third

convention, this is the area

in which the consumers

eyes will see when the

magazine is overlapped on

the shop shelf. This

contains information of the
