Local residents may not be too happy with all the extra traffic in their villages. Increasing numbers of visitors come to this area to enjoy the hills, but it all leads to congestion for the villagers.

The AONB Rangers with the police help to ensure that traffic causes least disruption in the villages.

The AONB encourages access to the hills for walkers and visitors, by good signposts and paths

The Rangers also work with schools to encourage the children to know about and understand their area
