But why the majorrestructure in the first

place?

But breaking down thecompany into many

different subsidiariesalso reduces the liability

of any one project.

So, if a self-driving car

causes a hugeaccident...

All the other Alphabetbusinesses are shielded

from any legal fallout.

So, it's a good move tomake investors happy,and the CEO's of eachsubsidiary business

even happier.
