• What is a blog?• A blog is a web site on which an individual or group of users

record opinions, information, etc. on a regular basis.• Who makes them?• Everyone who has a certain interest and wants to share

information amongst fellow bloggers.• How do you make one?• To make a blog I went on the site blogger.com and created

my own blog for this subject to produce my work. • Why do people make blogs?• People make blogs in a way of getting their voice heard on

the Net.

• I learnt that there are over 156 million blogs in existence.

Types of blogs

The different types of blogs are:

• Personal blogs - an ongoing diary or commentary written by an individual.

• Microblogging - the practice of posting small pieces of digital content. (which could be text, pictures, links, short videos, or other media—on the Internet)

• Corporate and organisational blogs – a blog can be private, as in most cases, or it can be for business purposes.

• Genre blogs – some blogs focus on a particular subject, such as culture, art/photography, travel, political etc.

• Media type – a blog comprising videos is called a vlog, one comprising links is called a linklog, a site containing a portfolio of sketches is called a sketchblogor one comprising photos is called a photoblog.

• A reverse blog – is composed by its users rather than a single blogger.
