  • HOW TO USE BASE CAMP
  • Open your browser.
  • Here, type www.basecamp.com.
  • This will appear on screen.
  • Type your full name.
  • Type the name of your company.
  • Type your email address.
  • Type your password.
  • Then, click Get Started.
  • Click here.
  • Lets start with creating a new project.
  • Click New Project.
  • You may edit this part.
  • For example, I type here
  • Then, type the description of the said project here.
  • To invite people, type emails here.
  • Click x to delete, if youve changed mind.
  • You may directly click Start the project.
  • You can also click here.
  • If you trust these people, then you may click boxes.
  • Then, click Start the project.
  • How to rename a project
  • Go into the project page.
  • Click directly on the name of the project.
  • You may edit this field.
  • Type here the description.
  • Then, click the Save changes button to make it official.
  • In Archiving a Project
  • When a project is over, archive it for safe keeping.
  • To archive a project, click the project.
  • Scroll down and click Project settings.
  • Click the Archived option.
  • Then, click Save changes to make it official.
  • To activate the project again, follow the same steps.
  • How to Delete a project
  • To delete a project completely, go into the project.
  • Scroll down and click Project settings.
  • Click the Delete this project.
  • Then, click OK.
  • Then, click Save changes.
  • To add discussion, click on Discussion.
  • Type the subject of the discussion.
  • Type here the body of the discussion.
  • You may use these to manipulate your sentences when necessary.
  • You may click here to attach file/s.
  • Click Open. (For tutorial purpose, Ill open a file.)
  • There it is!
  • Check the box to send this to that persons email.
  • Then click Post this message.
  • This is what will appear on your screen after that.
  • Now lets add the first to-do list, click here.
  • Type the title here.
  • Then, click Save and start adding to-dos.
  • For example, click Add to-do list.
  • Click Unassigned No due date.
  • Click the drop down menu to assign this task.
  • Set the date here.
  • Tada!
  • Now, lets add the first text document. Click here.
  • Type here about the said task.
  • You may click this to see all text documents.
  • You may add a comment here if you want.
  • Here you may see the history of the document.
  • You may delete this. Just click here.
  • Click here to delete this document.
  • Or move this. Just click here.
  • Click drop down menu.
  • Next is select where to move the document.
  • Now lets add the first date, click here.
  • Type new title here.
  • Select the date in this part.
  • Then, email this account to these persons email.
  • Click Add this event.
  • This may appear on your screen.
  • Going back to your main page, you may see the progress.
  • You may invite more people, just click here.
  • Or see the Recent changes, click here.
  • Now lets see what we can do to the following pages.
  • Lets click Project page first.
  • It tells you about the project you already have made.
  • Next is the Calendar page, click here.
  • It shows you the project, the date and the tasks.
  • Click box to indicate accomplishment of the task.
  • For example, we have an event here. Click the box.
  • You may write here the title of a new event.
  • Type here a note (optional).
  • Click Lasts multiple days according to its frequency.
  • Then, choose when this event should end.
  • Click the box if necessary.
  • Then, click Save changes.
  • See? You may click that later for more details.
  • On the left side, you may change the settings, just click that.
  • Heres what will appear on your screen.
  • Here you may change the title of the calendar.
  • Then, choose a color. An x sign appears after clicking.
  • Here you may invite other people to see this calendar.
  • Then click Save changes.
  • See? The texts turned green.
  • Now lets learn how to use the new features above.
  • To grant access and superpowers
  • Click on Grant admin and other superpowers.
  • Billing liaisons can upgrade or downgrade your account plan.
  • Lets delete people from account.
  • If youre an account owner, youre allowed to delete.
  • Go to Everyone page.
  • Click here for example.
  • Click here.
  • Then, finally click this.
  • Lets invite people to specific project.
  • Click that project.
  • Click Invite more people.
  • Type name/email address of the one/s youre inviting.
  • Click here to decide who can create project.
  • Click a box according to your judgment.
  • Then, write a message here.
  • Finally, click Send invitation.
  • Lets remove people from a specific project.
  • Click project.
  • Click here, for example.
  • Click Invite more people.
  • Scroll down to see this.
  • Then, click Remove.
  • Then, click Remove again.
  • Tada! Its gone!
  • Heres how to resend an email.
  • Go to Everyone page.
  • For example, you choose to send an email to this.
  • Click here.
  • If this appears
  • That person has already accepted invitation.
  • Heres how to find deleted items.
  • Go to Projects page.
  • Find the trash can and click it.
  • Youll see the history of all deleted items.
  • Now its youre turn! Happy BaseCamp-ing
