What is Koprol?
Koprol is a location-based social networking site, aimed for Indonesians. It tells you where your friends are and what they’re doing, and more interestingly, who’s nearby and what’s happening
around you.
Like favorite social sites, you can share your “status” or short posts, but with location!
You can post photos you just took, and add comments to create interesting discussions
Search a place by typing whatever you can think of. Restaurant, mall, neighborhood.
See what people are doing at different spots within an area
See what’s happening within a building. Who’s eating, buying, watching what.
New mobile version
We just released the new version of our mobile site today. Try it out at m.koprol.com (Photo: Satya W)

Interface

One of the earlier mockups felt too much like a regular microblogging site
November 2008
Header indicate location, but still need stronger sense of place
December 2008
Multi-column layout provide more place information. Tabs show names of places.
December 2008
Tabs moved to the left side, allowing content to move closer to the top.
February 2009
The layout we have now. Stream of posts in middle column, and stream filters on the left.
March 2009
Our layout probably made sense. Somebody has a similar idea.
